No I don't want you drop your argument.
Please after wading through tons of posts of
my country's president I would have a lot of nerve to
ask that. I did say it was a valid argument-
he does say what you arguing after all.
It is possible that he did intend it as a sweeping
generalization and disagrees with all of us.
I was just in shock that there was a unanimous
agreement about a point:-)
My only point to that post was I don't see how
you can really see what Pirsig truly intended with
that passage without being the author.
I think your literal translation of that quote is
as valid as my argument about taking it in the context
of his mulling over whether he should sell the rights
to his book or not.
