I was just wondering if anyone here has read the book
"The Jesus Mysteries" by Timothy Freke and Peter Gandy
or the book "The Bible Unearthed" by Isreal
Finkelstein and Neil Asher Silberman. There are
plenty of books that discredit common knowledge of the
"real" jesus, but these two are of the most recent
that i have found to be sufficiently researched and
credable. If no one has read them, i would definitely
recommend taking a look, at least at "The Jesus
Mysteries," but you definitely need to be openminded
to the rather, uh, unconventional, ideas in it.
