Erin and all:
DMB had said: So if we are to discuss what is and is not a proper moral
judgement, we have to begin by tossing out conventional wisdom and replacing
it with the MOQ's evolutionary morality.
Erin asked:
I agree with the quotes you put but I don't understand
what you mean when you say toss out conventional wisdom.
MOQ seems to put things into places but it doesn't toss
them out.
Can you give me an example of what MoQ tosses out?
DMB says:
That's what I already said. In the MOQ "conventional morality becomes just
one of five sets of conflicting moral codes." I should add that third levels
morals are far less dominant by virtue of adding the larger context, by
sheer weight, and also by virtue of the fact that they now have to be
mollified and modified by the intellectual and Dynamic codes as well. In
short, the third level's moral code is radically transformed by the MOQ.
