Just a brief note to say that I am unsubscribing from this forum as I
recognise that continued debate is not what I need at this time.

Thanks to Horse for maintaining the site, and to those who have contributed
while I have been around.
Though I have enjoyed the debates, and have learned a lot, both from others,
and from having to think through my position, I have recognised that the
important things I need to do are being held back by what can become an
endless intellectual pursuit (and contest?). Consistent with what I have
been arguing recently, I see such a pursuit as incidental or inimical to the
encounter with dynamic quality that remains for me the attraction in
Pirsig's message. He concedes that the mystic path is the direct experience
of the dynamic, and I am interested in spending more time exploring what
that offers.
I had written something on the Jesus theme before coming to this decision,
and thought that I would not send it, but since it is in my outbox it seems
unnecessarily negative to delete it.
