not too familiar with the Bible) that the Gospel of Thomas that DMB and I
have quoted is a non-canonical gospel. It didn't make the cut. There are
lots of other ancient accounts of Jesus' life of variable quality that did
not make it into the modern Bible. I am far from an expert, but think in
the case of the Gospel of Thomas it was discovered too late to be included
in the Bible. Though others were excluded because they have low quality, the
Gospel of Thomas is worth reading. It is a short collection of sayings
attributed to Jesus with a more mystical spin to them than the other
gospels. (It could be found with a Google search.)
