Hello Sam,
I have made a mistake, for static social patterns may be challenged
'directly' by competing social patterns. However, intellect may have the
ability to load the dice and attempt to support those social patterns
suitable for the furtherance of intellect.
An example? Yes, i may appear to have moved the goal posts, but i have not
been coherent and i beg your indulgence for that. An example would be the
church of reason. Within this church social patterns for dominance still
prevail, but they do so in a most restrained environment; and environment
dominated by intellectual patterns. Personally, i should rather there be less
rationality and more value, but even though Rome fell in a relative day, it
was not built in one.

Peter.
