thank you for welcoming me to the Lila squad. after reading Pirsig's message, i look forward to exchanging ideas with all of you. i already have submitted an essay called, "Framework, Archetypes, and Philosophy in Lila", which i hope will serve as a discussion point in the weeks to come. in it i explore the possibility that MOQ may be approached indirectly not with our analytical mind but unexpectedly by means of symbols such as those which arise from dreams and myths.
in this exploring of possibilities, bounding east, west, south, and north, i have come across these words in Zen in the Art of Archery:
If one really wishes to be master of an art,
technical knowledge of it is not enough.
One has to transcend technique so that
the art becomes an "artless art" growing
out of the Unconscious.
it is this approach in understanding MOQ that i would like to explore.
