A metaphysics is an assumption, so yes, since I believe these statements are
parts of the MoQ, they are assumptions. The MoQ is humble on this point and
says that it is *is* an assumption since it calls itself a metaphysics. SOM
on the other hand is more arrogant and says its assumptions are self evident.
I think this is why the "metaphysics" books are found in the new age shelves.

The thing is that the MoQ has a name for these recipes. They are intellectual
patterns of value and are just as real as the patterns they represent. There's
also connections between the intellectual pattern and the pattern it represents
down through social, biological and inorganic patterns.

Think about it, the MoQ says that patterns of all levels are able to value
patterns of that same level. Inorganic matter values closeness to other
inorganic matter, i.e. gravity. Those inorganic patterns doesn't have
access to this map of MoQ we're talking about. They value each other anyway!
That's what the MoQ is all about, value is primary.
