hi Martin and squad

I commend you on wanting to perform these experiments, I suppose they can
be fun. However, I am reminded of Zen Buddhism. The real quality gained
from DQ is to sit there and experience it...without thought. It's the Here
and Now, the freshness, newness, and creativity of the moment, and the
excitement comes from merely experiencing the new or meditating and
eliminating all these nasty thoughts. To cut it up and categorize it seems
like a very SOM thing to do.
Martin, i see no way of cutting up DQ and categorizing it. i see a way to
recognize its face perhaps, and that is all. these lines of sentences i
write are a direct result of self, experience and zazen, fleeting insights
flashing in my mind that i try and capture with these poor substitutes we
call words. none of them mean anything. no one should take anything i write
seriously as i certainly do not. yet i do enjoy sharing the wonderment with
others who can see it too.
as far as my thought experiment, who knows? its an interesting intellectual
level game that may have value or may not, depending upon the point of view
of each of us. thank you for your interest, however, and for your kind
words.
Martin writes:
Again, if you want to categorize it into something like a 5th level, define
it, or give it some other kind of meaning, it could be a fun thing to do.
However, I think it is just the road back to SOMland.
Martin, i do not believe we can categorize DQ as a 5th level and i certainly
hope my words didnt give that impression. i am attempting to share some
meaning with others by forming agreements along the way. if it helps to
visualize DQ, the notion has value. but its not a very expansive notion and
will be dropped when the time comes to drop it.
Martin writes:
You have a very interesting model and it seems to definitely be more
complete than a simple box model. I have had trouble envisioning where
exactly DQ fits in myself.
Martin, thank you for the compliment. the model is not complete as yet as i
have not depicted DQ accurately enough as far as interaction between the
levels. i will get to that however. there is still so much work to do on the
whole idea! still, i think the model is a very helpful way to realize just
what action DQ plays in our static reality. my wimple model certainly isnt
THE answer, but i do believe it is a step towards a more expansive viewpoint
of the MOQ.
best wishes to all,
