In response to my whimsical three different recipes of static quality, Magnus
responded:
>>"The thing is that the MoQ has a name for these recipes. They are
intellectual >>patterns of value and are just as real as the patterns they
represent."
I agree with this statement. The reason I posted these competing recipes was
to try to show that there is more than one way to build a non contradictory
IPoV that describes reality and the emerging patterns that arise from lower
levels. In brief, I agree with D. Palmgren's posting back on 09/04 on sand
sorting. He concluded--"The 4 levels of so-called 'sq' are a pragmatic tool."
Your response on 09/09 was that :
>>But the MoQ levels are not four piles of sand...........You're, we're, not
in a position to >>draw the lines of the reality we're parts of! They were
drawn before it came into >>existence.
I sincerely apologize if I am misrepresenting your opinion or taking it out of
context, but I really think we need to try to reconcile what I see as
contradictory positions.
I believe the 4 levels are 'just' pragmatic IPoV's. They were no more, or
less, pre-ordained at the beginning of the universe than was the plot for this
week's "Buffy The Vampire Slayer"( a silly TV show).
