Jon-
I have to ask a question about your two definitions of experience. You said:

>Let's be careful here because experience is an ambiguous word meaning:-
>1. An event (as in "I enjoyed a new experience.")
>2. Knowledge (as in "Experience tells me not to take everything
>literally.")

Aren't these two the same thing? As if to say- "Experience tells me not to
take everything literally." Actually just means "Previous events have
taught me not to take everything literally." This would suggest that the
only definition of experience is the first one you offered, an event. >
