>BODVAR FEELS WOUNDED AND CALLS FOR REINFORCEMENT
>BEFORE THE MOQ IS REVISED COMPLETELY.

Hello everyone

first of all, let me say that in no way have i been attempting to revise the
Metaphysics of Quality, but merely trying to define it. i am not an "oldie"
here in the Lila Squad but i have been around long enough that i see
patterns emerging that tend to confirm my suspicions that the intellect is a
de-struct and and not a con-struct of static quality forces of value.

it is my hope that further exploring how these forces of value effect static
patterns of value may lead to a more expanded awareness of the Metaphysics
of Quality. i do this mainly because i have always had problems classifying
just what is social and what is intellect. and in following this struction
clue, i find that previous assumptions about what is social and what is
intellect tend to prove incorrect.

i have always suspected SOTAQI as more of a social structure than an
intellect level structure. when Bodvar substituted Logic for Thinking in his
symbolistic theory, something clicked that has been gestating in my "mind"
for some time now. looking at subject/object logic as Quality's social
rather than intellect level doesnt change the Metaphysics of Quality in any
fashion. in fact, it brings some clarity to issues that were confusing
before.

for instance, the recurring objection that the social level is of higher
moral value than than is the intellect. if static quality patterns of value
are in place, new patterns of value cannot emerge. i like Lithiens analogy
of forest fires and how they trigger a spurt of re-newed growth and Dynamic
life. the de-struction of old social patterns of value is vital if new ones
are to emerge. the de-struction of static quality patterns of value by the
intellect is always of higher moral value.

for me, it was somewhat of a personal vindication that i was able to come
across Pirsig's reference to forces of value. i didnt consciously remember
reading that passage but for some reason (after my afternoon zazen) i
happened to open Lila to just that section and begin reading. surely my
sub-consciousness must have "remembered" it and led me to it.

since i have the germ of the idea already, i really do not need to explore
it further here with the Lila Squad. if anyone is interested in discussing
it they can contact me via private email. hopefully i havent left any hurt
feelings or resentment with my posts.

best wishes to all
