Re: MD MOQ meltdown

Horse, Fintan, Bo, etc,...
Fintan once asked me something to the effect of, "If you don't like my
ideas why do you bother to comment?" Once I read Fintan's dismissal of the
MoQ as "crap" I had to wonder, "If the MoQ is such crap, then by Fintan's
own logic... What is Fintan still doing here?"
It was the following snippet by Horse that gave me the answer:
"Another
>problem I have is that when the basis for the list is referred to as crap
it generally
>indicates that the proclaimer has no interest in the aims and objectives
of the
>group but is using it for their own purposes."

You got it Horse. Fintan needs us a hell of a lot more than we need
Fintan. After all, only the LS or others well versed in RMP could possibly
"understand" Fintan's rantings (though I'm not sure many of do anyway). If
Fintan stopped sending us these theories, who would Fintan send them to???
Nobody!
Fintan likes to masquerade as a dynamic force, but in reality he has simply
just taken the MoQ and returned it to SOM. While this may be technically
"dynamic", it can hardly be considered innovative, progressive or valuable
to the MoQ (which as Pirsig says does not value its own destruction) or to
our discussion group. Sorry Fintan, keep trying though (just like the rest
of us mortals).

It's all good,
Rick
