Hi Roger and 99:ers
You quoted Glove quoting Pirsig:
> "There are no things in
> >themselves outside experience" is true but the MOQ sees
> >experience differently from subject-object metaphysics.
> >Experience in a SOM is an action of the object upon the
> >subject. In the MOQ, experience is pure Quality which
> >gives rise to the creation of intellectual patterns which
> >in turn produce a division between subjects and objects."
>
> Experience is the stream of QE's producing intellectual patterns, subjects and
> objects. It is pure quality.Experience is DQ which creates patterns...which
> by definition are patterns of experience.
Typo?
"Experience... is pure Quality". Yes!
"Experience is DQ which creates patterns...". No!
I'd like to rephrase your's (and Glove's) statement like this:
Experience is the stream of QE's producing static patterns, subjects and
objects. It is pure quality.Experience is QEs which creates patterns...which
by definition are patterns of experience.
