I love your PRINCIPLES OF COSMIC CREATIVITY. Is this your work, or anothers?
I just read Bart Kosko's FUZZY THINKING. He applies fuzzy logic to attempt a
new metaphysics. Below are some qoutes. Substitute VALUE or QUALITY where he
states INFORMATION.
"The universe is information......The more we look at nature the more
information we see in the structure. The structure is information.......What
we call 'a pattern' -- a face or a star or a galactic cluster -- tends to be a
point of maximum information or minimum entropy."
He discusses how most of the recent great discoveries of physics emerge from
pure math and only later are they verified objectively. Relativity is one
obvious example. He also mentions that in 1957 E.T. Jaynes "showed that the
basic math law of statistical quantum mechanics follows from maximizing the
entropy of information theory. You need no data or tests or Niels Bohr to
derive it."
He equates "logic and fact. Matter with math." This leads to an interesting
observation that if you have no matter that substance takes math with it down
the drain. In a singularity, you must divide by zero. This term is
undefined. Therefore the universe must exist. If the universe is information,
then it has to exist......
