ROGER STANDS FRONT AND CENTERED
Glove,
This discussion is crucial and I appreciate your concise centering. Let me
center myself for you. Compare the differences.
You wrote:

We
experience reality by remembering it, not by experiencing reality directly.
This is center. Static quality patterns of value are all that we can be
aware of. This is center. Dynamic Quality appears as inconsequential
irrelevancies between static patterns of value. This is center.>>>>
I write:
Any theory based on Radical Empiricism must start with experience. This is
the center. “We’ are the subject of remembered experience. “Objects” are
analogous experiences. Experience is all. Static patterns are derived from
experience. In the MOQ, experience is referenced by the term “Quality” and
is divided into static ,divided, conceptual experience or “sq”, and
undivided direct experience or “DQ”. As DQ is by definition undivided and
pre-conceptual, it is undefineable.
The experience of sound creates the object and the subject, realism and
idealism. “Sounds” are divided experiences. “Hearers” are defined as the
subjective sound receivers and “fallen trees” are defined as objective sound
emitters. All the world and all of us are derived from this and other
experiences.
Glove, your feedback is always valued, and I am sure you can see I stole much
of my wording right out of yours and Ant's material, but I have a suspicion
that it is quite possible you and I will continue to approach this centering
slightly differently. That is okay, as a dialogue beats a monologue six days
out of seven. And to be honest, I look back at some of my work just a month
or two ago as rubbish. It is the dialogue that attracts us both....that and
the Quality!
Thank You
Rog
PS -- I bought a new copy of Lila today. I read all the words off the prior
copy's pages. I got a teal copy this time to sit proudly beside my much
beloved ol' purple version.......I can't wait to highlight this one
anew......how exciting!!!!!! Which color do the rest of you have???? Which
color is best????Or is it true that "all are good?"
