Genuine Question!
Is there or need there be a common or single mystical view of reality.
The mystical view is the explanation/rationalization/description of the
mystic experience which, although it may purport to describe some
'true' knowledge of a higher reality is itself a degredation of that
experience. Each description may bear some resemblance to other
similar descriptions of those experiences but this is no guarantee
that the experiences themselves are similar - just that we share a
similar language or means of expressing ourselves and set of social
values.
Alternatively, if there is a common vision is this the result of shared
(or at least similar) knowledge or experience or its' cause.

Another Question.
When you (David) ask "What is the mystical view of reality?" are you
differentiating between the religious/secular/shamanistic view or do
you belieive that they are all of one form.
