Greetings,

Cheers David,

Second best laugh in a year. Reading a couple of books by Khrisnamurti does not make one a mystic.

David, firstly I'm not American so don't give a damn if your education system is inadequate and
secondly I teach philosophy, ethics and divinity here in England - including three forms of
Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Islam (I love Sufi mysticism) and Christianity (St Francis is probably
the greatest Christian mystic). I've been to Assisi and stayed with the brothers there, I've stayed
on Iona where my sister was musician in residence and I've even been to Turkey and conducted
research upon the use of music in Sufism, (all of these people I found fascinating and sincere) so
you will not be surprised that I don't take your point about being confused, hostile and
ill-educated very seriously. In fact I think your desperate attempts to insult rather than argue are
very sad.

One of the greatest mystics of all time, Attar of Nishapur, said: " The true lover finds the light
only if, like the candle, he is his own fuel, consuming himself." Consume yourself David, not some
mystical new age clap-trap.

Just one question is needed to clear the air of all your fog. What makes your version of mysticism
any better than that of anyone else, especially those you condemn as false? Answers of "I just know
it because I'm right," or the equally silly, "I just understand what it means." will be immediately
consigned to the rubbish bin as arrogant self-centred and completely without foundation.
