Hello ,
Rich Pretti asked for opinions of what is mysticism...so I thought I'd offer
A simple-minded answer apart from the classical definitions.
Mysticism is attachment to mystery. A tendency, possibly habitual, for indulging in the
wonder of infinity. What I have heard called Self-realization is a
different matter. The Self-realized sage has gone beyond mere indulgence in the wonder of mysterious infinity
to some point of final understanding about Self in relation to the infinite universe.
While a regular mystic is propelled on and on by infinite wonder, a
fully Self-realized sage is said to be resolved in peace and ultimate
freedom--never again to appear
I wonder whom might be said to be the greatest exponent of Dynamic
Quality; the mystical lover of infinity, or the sage who resolves
all patterns of value into a timeless freedom from all differences?
