Kevin, Struan and Platt:
Yes, love and mysticism go together like peanut butter and jelly, like
coffee and cigaretts. But let's not confuse mystical love with middle
class social vaules like politeness and niceness. That can be a very
repressive thing. Remember the story of Jesus turning over the money
exchangers tables at the temple? He was in a fit of rage, yet he did it
out of love. The abolitionist John Brown was a murderous thug by
conventional standards, yet he acted out of love.
