MD The MOQ and Government

Hello,

I thought I'd join this discussion on government from the perspective of the MOQ.

Like many people, I tend to look out at the many rules of the social
level like a prisoner looks out at the bars of his cell. All of these laws made to
restrict my freedom to do "anything I please"! But having matured to the premise of having
to accept these curtailments, I don't jump around as much like a monkey in a cage when
I'm faced to pay my social dues.

Government is like the stop signs, lights and turning lanes out on the
roadways. It's a good thing. Intelligent concessions by the
individual to the group. Those concessions ring around
core social values that spell out the basic theme at that level in The Tree of Ideas:
Let's Get It On With Each Other. I don't first associate the word Government with those
various past and current attempts. You look at current and past attempts at government
and tend to get depressed. I like looking at Ideal Government. It's way more inspiring.
In that frame, nobody is getting the short end of the stick. Everybody is a good and peaceful
driver free of road rage and aware of their responsibility not to imposition the other drivers.

We really are very close to achieving the better part of Ideal Government. Thousands of years
of trial and error have lifted us up very high already. People have a good sense of 'what is fair"
and continue to make adjustments in the code. At the highest end, we have very clear methods
of weighing out the values in disputes. At the low end (the train's caboose), you even have
people making such statements as, "we should outlaw genocide on a world wide basis!". Why
only a while back, genocide, murder, rape, fraud and general cheating were considered a good
and natural choice by even more people then today....I guess.

Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is that for everybody to "get it on" happily, we have
to not screw each other out on the roadways of the social level. Ideal government exists
as surely as the notion of the wheel was existent before people got out a perfectly round one. Our current governments are similar to those "pre-wheels" that give people a bumpy ride. What makes a perfectly round wheel of government is the desire for fairness. Fairness is the boon of Dynamic Quality. So ideal government equals the "awareness of fairness" (sounds like something Jesse Jackson would say).

Those of you still following along here might ask, "so how do we achieve this "awareness of fairness"?
Well, on the biological level, that's like asking how a young man in the presence
of a fair young woman achieves sexual awareness. He just does so naturally.
On the social level, people go naturally toward more and more awareness of fairness.
We like to get it on with each other and hang out and build things and have parties and share. What impede social fairness are individual moods of fear, anger, desire and greed that serve to pinch off the natural flow of DQ. People get tweaked and want more and give less.

What they give less of are the social dues we each agree to ante up. Concessions on our
desire to do anything we want, when we want. People drive drunk. They cut people off when
they feel like it. They defraud each by clever means because they can. When you look at
people that are especially given to sociopathic behavior, what you'll see are people that
are running poorly because of some combination of poor fuel and poor tuning (and some people
really get poor vehicles to begin with).

I would say that the true connection between Ideal government and the MOQ is reached through
the understanding of how the various levels prop each other up. When people are fueled
and tuned properly on the biological level, they have the energy to rise up in terms of social
level awareness of fairness. When the individual's "air/fuel" ratio between the biological
and intellectual level is improper, then people run too "hot".

I live here in Southern California about forty miles south-to-east of the Hollywood Sign which
I think of symbolically as the home of the great transmitter of The Entertainment Industrial
Complex (EIC). Perhaps by my close proximity to it, I tend to feel it really affects people
everywhere strongly. The airways are filled with "excitement". Chilidog pictures and
"hav it your way" ideology boost the level of desire and anger which helps to pinch off
awareness of fairness. People get to speeding and cutting each other off.

Eat your Wheaties (yes, good government begins with a good breakfast),
be warm and cool, enjoy awareness of fairness, and construct a smooth
riding "wheel of government". That's what I'm talking about. (Sorry about the quick-cut style
here, I haven't been turning out rays from the (EIC) transmitter as diligently as I should be.)
