Thank you for your unqualified support of Independence Day. Horse, we saw
an impersonation of Elvis at the rodeo last night. Wonder what would
happened to him had he not died? Forty or fifty years of Elvis would have
been a bit much, I think. He certainly helped to distance us from the
British.
Struan, I had to think about it for a while but I see where you are
coming from. Maybe civilization is a bit overrated. In any case, after all
of our moneygrubbing we can come to Europe and buy our culture in measured
doses. Keeps the decks clear for sterner stuff over here.
It hurts when you talk about our ex-vice president like that. He is
making noises about running for President. If he should win he will have a
cabinet to deal with the country and with the media and he will just have
to do the Photo Ops. He is fairly presentable. He would make a good
match for Jesse Ventura, the ex-wrestler who is now Governor of Minnesota.
See, we are moving toward civilization here. Ken
