Clark: I was very tempted to just drop the whole thing and let you have
the last word, but I have to say just one thing. My main objection to
the use of Atomic weapons isn't centered around the reasons and
justifications given by the military. My main objection is the killing
of civilians, which is absolutley impossible to avoid when they are
dropped on cities. We all know that it happens all the time, either by
accident, mistake. But when civilians are targeted intentionally, that's
a crime. Strange as it may seem, killing soldiers is perfectly
legitimate, even moral. But killing unarmed civilians is an entirely
different matter. Atomic weapons are immoral in so far as they can not
discriminate between the two.
