It is my view that WW11 was a conflict of the biological level. A war for
survival. Offhand I can think of no Victorian values that influenced the
decision to drop the bomb. At that time social values were a luxury we
could ill afford in the conduct of the war. I still have the feeling that
you do not have a grasp of the conditions prevailing at that time. Dropping
the bomb was regretable but, in my view, in accordance with the tenets of
the MoQ. Ken
