MD Dropping things

DLT, Dan and all moqers:

Bet you a buck Truman prayed about the decision to drop the bomb. It's
not the same as consulting DQ, whatever that might mean, but I think
there is a universal instinct to gaze upward at great moments, if you
know what I mean.

If Truman dropped acid, he probably wouldn't have dropped the bomb, but
he would likely be injured by it too. Glove's correct to point out that
tripping is not something one jumps into without some preparation. There
are lots of things like that, being President of the US or flying the
plane that dropped the big one are handy examples. Its an old joke among
those who are "experienced", the idea that peace would be possible if
the nation's leaders dosed together just once, but DLT propably already
knows that, eh?

But even if Truman just based the decision on the highest moral patterns
available to him, intellectual patterns, then he doesn't even need DQ to
say no. There are already laws on the books, and they were on the books
at the time too. And don't confuse "the law" of the social level, the
ten comandments and such, with legal rights and principles.

Gotta go, DMB
