TO BLIND PIGS ALL

Couldn't resist responding even though I doubt it will "win anyone over" .When
Platt says:

> Pirsig warns us against over indulgence in intellectualism.

> the superiority of intellectuals who say they are above all ideologies but
> howl like stuck pigs when their own pet ideologies are challenged.

I agree whole heartedly. The blindness that I've railed about before, and will
continue, is that it is very easy to overlook the qualifiers like "almost" in
front of the level dominance quotes and the fact that even though the
intellectual is the highest level it does not mean that there are not BAD,
WRONG, MORALLY CORRUPT, ideas, theories, polemics, concepts. et al.

What makes this doubly risky, under the MoQ and in the real world,is that
until the lower levels are in peril there is no level to exercise any control
over the intellect (just dynamic quality which is just beyond our intellect).
So bad ideas and ideologies, most often, if adopted run their course and the
social and most particularly the biological level, through death and another
nasty but lesser perils, suffer.

My intial response to DMB's/Walsby's levels was to cringe, but, after a little
reflection, I thought;"Wait this is but a small, narrowly focused, subdivision
of the top two levels of the MoQ."

They primarily deal with the political portion of those levels. And any
political system, in order to maintain longivity which is what all politicians
crave, should allow all of the subdivisions to remain viable. However the day
to day governing can never be maintained for very long without a balance, MoQ
balance" somewhere just before the dynamic revolutionary level. Even Velvet
Revolutions killed and is killing.

To Platt I would suggest he try to achieve some balance in his environmental perspective.

A environmental polemic I'll try to keep it short.

A GOOD IDEA- A large portion of Florida should be vacated of permanent human
dwelling.

Why? The risks to humans, the environment, and all MoQ levels, which are
actually one,is unacceptable.

Reason:

It is too valuable a global spirtual and physical resource ,"environmentally
or all levelly", and too risky, socially costly, and morally wrong for man to
permanently inhabit. Very similar, environmentally, to Bangladesh. If the
environment kills you and your people, predictably year after year for eons,
don't you think it might be time to listen to the winds, instead of whims. Empirically.

Platt, I own a chainsaw! and use it!
