I'm not sure if I'm following you perfectly David, but let me try and state
my understanding. How I see it.

First off, the direction isn't up and down in the meaning of slave and boss
- but rather rising levels of complexity in a musical harmony. And I agree
with the thrust of what you say - if the music doesn't resonate on the
lowest chords, then it's dischord not dat chord. More like a circle than a
spear - because does not even man's intellect - which we place at the
center of everything - doesn't it go back into mere molecules we can't hear
the instant a man dies? That's our experience. So I don't see a one-way
dominance in the MoQ. I definitely observe different levels of complexity
though.

The only thing that the MoQ can do is point toward Quality. If it points
toward Quality then its a good moral compass. If it doesn't, then it's
not. I don't think you can say either direction, North or South, is the
highest quality direction in and of themselves, can you? The quality of
the direction is dependent upon where you're standing and where you want to
go.
