ö A FAQ list should have been done. That much is for sure, but who is
ö trusted to deliver the right answers?

The common way to do it (on Usenet) is that somebody volunteers and that
nothing is in the FAQ that there isn't at least a rough consensus on.
Note the word rough. Some people may disagree, but there has to be a
general feeling that what is in the FAQ is correct. There is also room
for dissent in the FAQ itself, by describing more than one opinion.

In fact, it's common for the FAQ keeper to just compile the FAQ from
answers by several different people (among them him-/herself).

The usual way a FAQ keeper volunteers is by posting an early version of
the FAQ and asking for comments. Unless a storm of protests erupt, the
FAQ becomes official.

The Usenet way of handling this is really anarchic, though, and I'm not
sure it's suited for this list. Therefore, I suggest Bodvar as our FAQ
keeper, for several reasons. If he doesn't want the job (or somebody
protests), I can take it, unless somebody else wants it.

I'd like to hear the groups opinion on this.
