ö (BTW, Maggie, I agree with you -- HTML makes this a lot easier to
ö communicate. I wish all TLS members would UPGRADE to Netscape's
ö Navigator/Browser. In essence it is free from the Netscape site. IMhO
ö Netscape is vastly superior to IE 4.0 and Netscape's catechism fits MoQ
ö where Microsoft's dogma is SOM-like.)
Doug, the reason why it's easier to communicate with HTML is that you're
not required to use a specific browser to read it. IMHO Opera is vastly
better than Netscape and much faster. In fact, it even implements more
of HTML than Netscape and MSIE (and with fewer bugs). Other people prefer
Lynx, Emacs-W3, AOL-IWENG, CyberDog, IBrowse, Mosaic or Arena, and for
perfectly valid reasons.
Of course, your mileage may vary, and if you use HTML right it doesn't
matter. So please, don't talk any more about writing HTML to any
specific browser. Write to the spec and leave it at that.
ö Hope this helps, Maggie and TLS.
:(
I'm wishing for a future where I'll have time to really dig into all the
TLS mail I've accumulated. I'll really try to study this one, as it's
something I've wanted to see for a while. Unfortunately, it takes much
longer to read than the computer-related material, as it is much less
familiar.
