[David Buchanan] I'm stuck there too. When I did discussions live,
I learned to put up a flyer with the parameters already set up, so that
anyone who joined was already in agreement about all that. All I can think
to do here is propose it as an experiment for one month and see if even that
can get elected under all the normal rules. Or the owner could just make an
executive decision... Although I'm not sure who that is, or even if there is
a single person in charge.

[David Buchanan] Re-reading the book together really isn't very
restrictive, its just another way to focus. We've been doing by electing a
question, and that's fine. But part of the idea of re-reading in sequence is
focus on Pisig's words specifically, in their full context, to see what
questions and issues might arise. We have to enter with a certain amount of
faith in the process. And trust me, it works. Paradoxically, I'm tralking
about a way to build a little dynamism into the structure. Its a way to give
Lila more control over the discussions. WE just enter the month by
re-reading, one page or chapter at a time if you want, thinking and THEN
writing a post. Its about really seeing whats there in the pages. Doing
three chapters per month is fast enough to prevent boredom, that's for sure,
and it might actually help to charge up the un-moderated forum. Hopefully,
the MFwill generate a lot of good questions for the MD.
