Jainism. The Jainist belief of very strict ahisma is something very close
to holding all animals (or just life in general) sacred. Some of the
stronger believers actually walk around pushing soft brooms in from on them
so they won't harm any little bugs and things in their path.

And also, that's a big stereotype against atheists. Just because they
don't believe in a god doesn't mean that they aren't "spiritually inclined"
in some sense, or that they don't hold anything sacred.
