Platt you wrote,

<< Memes don 't help social groups to survive ! That is just the way we are
looking at the outcome. Memes act upon themselves, they don 't care what
happens to the social groups...
That is because they blend in with the shade.
Is the meme- meme a good meme !?
We will know that untill it fullfilled its own destiny_proven its value.
For the record, memes as such were not know to us untill Dawkins ' found '
them, but they were then already here_they were not so good in making up
their own propaganda, that 's all.
But despite that, they propagated along different lines of imitation,
contaigon,
replication,...
And it is of no importance if a meme is good or bad, WE say something is
good or bad, but is it !?
Take the meme- eye view, see the world thru ' their eyes...you are not good
or not bad, you as a meme wanna propagate yourself, that is your nature, by
all means possible. You search in connection with other memes other possi-
bilities. You construct, create, invent tools ( like hands, eyes, brains) in
order to propagate you further...
In memetic propagation there is no logical way. You, Platt, no offense
intented,
do not decide anything, you think you do, but you don 't !
That is why memetics is so a dangerous idea, ethical and for morality, you
delete the concept of free will. Or is there a meme of free will, who knows
!?
Why do you think memes let us know, first at Dawkins, they were here !?
Ideas, thoughts, goals, intentions were already there.
So, why should they bother at all, nothing changed...
But, they were at the end of an evolution thread, they needed us to propa-
gate. They deliberated made us making computers and other stuff in order
to propagate them...
Ok, you think, but without them we would eventually invented the TV,
the computer, radar, the spaceshuttle, all those technologies needed to
investigate, to create, to construct...
Do you really think that, or is there a slight piece of doubt that makes you
realise that a meme is doing the thinking for you...
You see, just that thought won a battle in your mind, other meme(plexes)
were just for that slight moment out of balance, not able to hold your
atten-
tion... They won, not you !!
But, that is just a thought.

Kenneth
