MD cutting brains in half! (PzEph)

Hang on!..
the cutting of the corpus callosum as a treatment for epilepsy isn't that
long ago, still works well in some cases, doesn't lead to distress as such
in most cases, and does indeed lead to some useful insight into perceptual
processes, whereby certain aspects of thought/perception/mind (I'm doing it
with the '/'s just to annoy!) can be seen to be quite closely associated
with, if not specific neurons, certain communicative relationships 'tween
certain parts of the brain.
Overall, the cutting mentioned has surprisingly little deleterious effect
(though I still wouldn't volunteer).
cheers
