But if I'm not literal Struan and I interpret you in any other way than how you wish to be
interpreted at a particular time then you'll complain that I'm distorting your position. So
however I respond you can cry foul - neat trick Struan. I assumed that what you wrote was
what you meant - as you have said in the past - and that you meant what you wrote.
Responding forcefully and swearing and being rude for no reason other than peevishness
are two entirely different things. I have no complaint with your use of the former method,
where appropriate, and have not intervened in the past (if you think otherwise then do point to
the data) but object to the latter when it becomes your normal method of replying, as it has. I
will censure anyone on the forum who does likewise and have done so in the past.
It is ridiculous to suggest that asking you to stop being unnecessarily and needlessly rude
and aggressive is attempting to silence you. What a pathetic and transparent excuse!

As I have not complained about your methods in the past it should be blindingly obvious that
you have not offended me previously. Responding in a like manner bears no resemblance to
being _routinely_ rude and aggressive.

To continue your analogy, everyone breaks the speed limit on occasion without the need for
reprimand but those that do so "with no qualms and two fingers stuck up to the
establishment, Hurrah!!:", as you phrased it, deserve censure at the very least regardless of
whether they are part of a minority or not. You are not the only person in the history of this
forum that I have asked to behave reasonably and I doubt that you will be that last. This is not
discrimination in my book and playing the descrimination card in such a way is a poor
excuse for an argument. Others on this forum argue 'forcefully' without needing to be rude
and offensive, why can't you?. Even if you do happen to be in a minority that doesn't entitle
you to disregard rules or behave unreasonably with little or no provocation.

I have no personal vendetta Struan, as you well know, and prior to this series of exchanges
have not criticised you for your behaviour and methods even though they have often been
unreasonable. In fact, just the opposite as I have always supported you in the past when
others have complained about you. It seems that although you are prepared to criticize
others for their behaviour you are less than than happy at being criticized yourself - more
hypocrisy. You seem to insist on hiding behind rudeness and insult instead of being
reasonable and wonder why others have a go at you.

You can certainly continue to make snide comments, be patronising or aggressive etc. and
there is little that I can do to stop you as this is still an unmoderated forum, which you
understand and abuse in a way that you find unreasonable in others. To quote you, "It
debases the whole forum and, I suggest, should not be tolerated.", but presumably that only
applies to others. The most that I can do for now is to ask others to treat this sort of behaviour
with the contempt that it deserves and to try not to respond in kind.
