maybe you're right, but still in my opinion they are execeptions.
The main thing is, aren't you setting the standards too high?
Like throwing away the baby...
I think there are positive things to discover in LC. And they can be
interesting to readers who want to have background information/discussion on
MOQ.
It isn't the third book of Pirsig. And it doesn't have to be. It can be, the
static intellectual pattern Pirsig himself mentions.
For a book which is ' Perfectly scientific and perfectly artistic at the
same time ', I just wait for Pirsig to take action...
And.. even ZMM and Lila weren't both 'Perfectly scientific and perfectly
artistic at the same time'

Oh how I disagree! Have you read Richard Dawkins on evolution? Steven Pinker
on the workings of the mind? How about David Deutsh's
explanation of wave-light duality "Shadows"? It's one of the most beautiful
pieces of writing I've ever read. Perfectly scientific
and perfectly artistic at the same time.
