Dear Elizaphanian

Fabulous post.

Platt, Squonk,

YOU'VE GOT IT! - I think that's full summary intent of Lila.
- Pirsig has issued us a challenge :
"Intellect has a defect in it"

When I came to this group, that is what I was hoping to find - an
exploration of the (unstated) question Pirsig has presented us with :

Intellect has a defect in it - What comes next?

We are being challenging to consider the philosophy of 'morals'.
The highest level isn't 'intellect' - we need to think outside of the
box. Failing that, we need at the very least to allow for the
possibility, the respect for, I'd like to say - the appreciation,
that true 'wisdom' may not be so easily quantified as intellect would
like to imagine.

I sure would like to see a group like this tackle this problem.

>I think now, especially, morals need to be considered in whatever w bush's
>cabinet decides to do.

'High 5' to Rasheed !

Squonk : Any suggestions on where I can find more on the "Science of
Morals"? (thanks in advance)

Love,

Tanya

  . . . seems I need to re-read the chapters in the 20's. . .
