I fear the US and the rest of the world are being dragged into a clever trap.
Clever, because a small social force may overwhelm a superior intellectual
force because intellect cannot see what the inferior social force is up to:
The Art of killing your enemy.
The US is heavily rooted in science SOM, and as such has faith in quantity.
It's intellect assumes that massive fire power confers strength?
However, the social forces the US are up against are medieval quality not
quantity; they have a high quality appreciation of cunning and manipulation;
fine assets in war.
They are using the US's own strengths against them.
Here is how it may be unfolding:
1. Hit the US hard using suicide squads thus invoking a counter attack.
2. Incite Muslims to hatred of a perceived religious enemy.
3. Prearrange to be kicked out of Afghanistan into Pakistan.
4. Usurp power in Pakistan and gain influence over the use of nuclear
weaponry.
5. Rage war with India, and drag in surrounding Muslim states.
6. Potential all out global catastrophe?
If one could use a time machine to give medieval social values access to 21st
century technology, what would happen?
The US is not thinking like the enemy and may be given a nasty surprise?
The thought of US kids being sent into this nonsense makes me feel sick.
Jeremy suggested sending this raging Bull to sleep?
An excellent and wise move in my view.
