Hi Rob D.

I'm not sure how "vast" the majority is, but a majority, yes.
>If so, does that mean
> they sanction military attacks on Palestinian civilians?
No, not if the attacks deliberately target civilians.
>Do you consider

Yes, if targeted at innocent civilians. No, if targeted at terrorists and
their supporters.
> You have to see the big picture, this is a war.
Who started it?

Why do you suppose the other side has nothing?

I also want nothing more to happen. But the Taliban, Hamas, Islamic
Jihad, Palestine Front for the Liberation of Palestine and others of their
ilk don't.

Not defend the only democracy in the MIddle East? Not fight terrorists?
I wonder on what moral basis you make such decisions. I have
repeated the MOQ basis for my moral judgments many times. You may
have noticed that many on this site who criticize Pirsig haven't specified
a source for their moral outlook other than an "vague, amorphous soup
of sentiments" like love, justice, peace and "dialogue."

I see no reason to seek peace with terrorists wherever they are. The
only moral course to deal with terrorists is to exterminate them. Nor do
I see any reason to seek peace with a country who up front denies your
right to exist.
