Thanks Marco

I totally agree with you that we should disagree about
stuff.

Trying to convince other people to match our views is
crazy... especially as our disagreements are often
around fine points of the system anyway.

At the basic level Pirsig put forwards the concepts of
the MOQ and the fact that we should look for quality
and morals in the world and in ourselves. And it
seems to me that we all (generalisation sorry) accept
this part of the picture. We all differ in many
degrees about the detail of whether and how many
levels exist, where we should find our moral guide (if
we need to) etc.

These differences are just differences and I find it
infinitely useful to me to read everyone elses
interpretation and views. I won't take any of these
views on 100% I'll look at them and I'll find the bits
that seem right to me and mix them in with my current
views, discard the pieces of my current views that I
think are now rubbish and continue.

The detail to some degree is unimportant, I think the
great thing is that the fundamental framework of the
MOQ has been given to us so that we can look for
ourselves. The problem with SOM was we had no
framework to even consider morals and quality.

Anyway, that's enough from me... gotta do some work
