I stand corrected.

I guess it is necessary to modify:

to...

"An activity that often lead to platypi."

But that won't work because, intellect (which humans claim exclusively)
lives and dies, terminates. And both process and activity, as
constructs of intellect, die, terminate. But Quality does not.

How do you know?

You don't.

If Pirsig talks of platyti; Must they not exist? At least intellectually?
Or possibly Quality is the species platypi.
