Hi Angus - a minor quibble (from me again! can't I leave you alone? ;-) )

How about the Age of Aquarius? From 2000 bc to 0, it
was the age of pisces, a tribal time (Society). From 0
to 2000 ad it was the Age of Aries, the individual

Aquarius.
As I understand it, Aries came before Pisces, because for this purpose the
zodiac is going backwards. And the period is variously calcualated, but it
is around 2400 years. Which means that the heroic age of Homer and his
equivalents is all that we can recall of the 'Aries' age - all about
warriors like Achilles and father figures like Yahweh, which was followed,
after the 'axial period' c. 500 BC by the age of Pisces and the more
dreamy/spiritual type of figure, like Buddha or Christ or Lao Tse. And if
we're really going to go into this, then we could say that the Age of
Aquarius is all about technical rationality and industrial globalisation
which obliterates the individual, but where the constant undercurrent (think
yin/yang) is that of the *cult* of the individual (like Hitler, Stalin or
even Princess Diana). Which began c. 1800 AD.
Not that I'm into this sort of thing...... (o:

PS I very much liked your last post about a MOQ grammar. I'm still thinking
about that.
