Hey Rog, Clay, Davor (and all),
Thanks for reposting this thread. If you don't mind, I'd like to make a few
points....

> THE Q
> What do the patterns of higher quality have that those of destruction,
decay
> and disorder don't?

RICK:
---First off, I think this question is poorly worded. (1) The addition of
the qualifier 'higher' to the term "patterns of quality" is confusing. Is
this phrasing to suggest that 'destruction, decay, and disorder' are
'patterns of lower quality'? Or are 'lower' Q patterns something different
that are just exempted from the question for some reason? (2) And what's
with this 'patterns of quality" ambiguity? Is that just Static Quality? Or
what?
It seems that when you clear through the thicket of poor phrasing the
question seems to be asking: "What does Static Quality have that
destruction, decay and disorder doesn't?" The answer (tautologically
enough) is Static Quality. Think of it this way... Destruction, decay and
disorder is the manifestation of the 'withdrawl' of some Static Patterns
upon those that remain.

RICK:
No. Decay and destruction is NOT 'retrograde growth'. In fact, decay and
destruction and the exact opposite of growth.

RICK:
Davor I think I'm agreeing with Rog in saying that I believe you have become
confused between 'destruction, chaos and decay' and the concept of
'flexibility'. Yes, sometimes DQ must take a step back before it can take
two forward, but this isn't 'destructive' or 'chaotic' anymore than knocking
down a bulding to put a new one is 'destructive' or 'chaotic'. To just see
the old building come down is to just see half the picture and miss the
point completely.

it's all good,
rick
