The gap is in most instances is a statistical whipping boy. It is a
comparision of Bill Gates to the poorest person in the world. Now the
poorest person in the world can double his or her income which in real
terms affects their experience in astronomically and still lose the
'gap' game with Bill. You do the math I make $5 a week which is abject
poverty and I increase my income to $10 a week which is just poverty now
over a year say a bad year for Bill 2000 to 2001. Check the numbers and
the gap grows. Ask the poor guy and he will say he's had a good year.
Ask Bill he might say it was a bad one.
