ERIN: When I see it written out like that the 3 types of neurotics that Karen
Horney identified seem to fit. There was the Moving Against in which the
ideal was the "to be all powerful". There was the Moving Toward in which the
ideal was the "to be all lovable ". There was the Moving Away neurotic in
which the ideal was " to be free and independent"
I thought it fits very well and so I would say that a "law of freedom" is a
possibility. I know that is contradictory but it seems to makes sense to me,
it is just a law that is internal rather then external.
