Hi 3WD,
Where the MOQ or Pirsig contradicts modern science, I tend to adjust or
modify the MOQ. The exceptions to this are where the MOQ clarifies
blindspots in current intellectual theory or where it provides alternative
ways to interpret reality.
Pirsig is clueless on complexity/chaos theory (it was just emerging as he was
writing Lila), and he is only adequate on evolutionary theory (imo). I must
believe that as science progresses that Pirsig and the MOQ would progress
too.
I of course disagree with the religious/dogmatic fringe viewpoint in this
forum.
But I have been known to be you-know-what
Rog
PS -- How would you suggest we reconcile chaos/complexity theory and The MOQ?
