I find this excerpt most interesting with concern to the MoQ:

> A four-volume heavily illustrated opus concerning beauty is being published by Oxford University Press in June. It is by architectural theorist Christopher
> Alexander of the University of California, Berkeley, and has an imposing first printing of 50,000. It is titled no less than "The Nature of Order: An Essay on the
> Art of Building and the Nature of the Universe."

I started a page on the wiki site to investigate the connection between
Alexander's and Pirsig's theories when I was exploring wiki as a
potential for the focused discussion. (The whole concept I seem to
recall you had little good to say about.)

I didn't get very far but you may want to take a look just to get "One Taste".

My guess is that when it Alexander's Opus actually gets out (its been in
the works longer than Lila was) we'll find that its underlying
philosophy closely parallels Pirsig's but that it will not as explicitly metaphysical.
