Dear David,

I forgot to answer your 3/3 16:56 -0700 question:
'Honestly don't know what you mean by "the lowest level of DQ". As I
understand it, DQ does not have levels. Levels are used only to distinguish
static quality, no?'

I mean whatever brand of q/Quality you would want to use to establish the
hierarchy of levels.
You can call it Quality, or static quality or Dynamic Quality; whatever you
want. I just tried to express Pirsig's 'latching'-idea.
I tend to use static quality only as a type of quality that is internal to a
level (e.g. social quality interpreted as status/fame/fortune). Levels are
used to distinguish types of static quality. If you use 'static quality' in
the way I do, you need another type of q/Quality however to be able to say
which level is highest. I'd say that the intellectual level is higher than
for instance the social level, because it is more dynamic. That's why I'm
writing about 'levels of DQ'.
I think it is a semantic question, though. I hope you understand what I
meant by now. I wouldn't want to spend much more words on it.

With friendly greetings,

Wim
