Dear Erin,

interested in exploring what responsibility a leading nation should have in
sharing the wealth. I don't think there is a way to prevent people
becoming envious of the most prosperous nations but I do wonder if there is
a way to minimize this envy. (maybe your interest in dignity?) There was a
show discussing a this topic that I found interesting. Here is part of the
transcript.'
I'm definitely trying to find a basis for exploring with Rog (among other
things) what responsibility a leading nation has to share 'its' wealth. I
hoped indeed a 'right to dignity' combined with relating 'rights', 'duties'
and 'responsibilities' would be a beginning of such a basis, but Rog/Risky
diminished this hope considerably with his latest postings. I'm currently
collecting courage to answer him.
Your show transcript presents the issue quite clearly indeed ... as has been
done countless times on this mailing list also.
With friendly greetings,
Wim
