Hey MOQers:
This is the statement that got Mahr in so much hot water....
Bill: But also, we should --
we have been the cowards lobbing cruise missiles from 2,000 miles away.
That's cowardly.
Staying in the airplane when it hits the building, say what you want about
it,
it's not cowardly.
You're right.
And I think I can explain the reason that Bush called the terrorists
cowards. The "thinking" goes something like this; Its very brave and noble
to die for a cause, except when I don't like the cause. Its very brave and
noble to die for your country, unless its a country I don't like. Its just
for a warrior to kill his enemy, except when that enemy is me or my friends.
Knowingly going to your death for a greater purpose is the supreme sacrifice
a human can make, but why bother if you can afford high-tech remote weapons
systems. (Sarcastic)
Those terrorists were many things, including immoral murderous thugs and
reactionary religious fanatics, but to call them cowards is positively
idiotic.
