I'm not sure if you think we're all being manipulated or not, or whether
we know it or not. If we know we're being manipulated, are we still
being manipulated?
Could it be that the TV program about how we're being manipulated is
manipulating us by appealing to our nonrational, emotional desires to
appear to be better informed, always concerned with the welfare of our
fellow men, and morally superior to greedy, profit-seeking capitalists?
I wonder. From what you told us about the producer, Adam Curtis, I
don't have great deal of confidence in his "objectivity." But I appreciate
your taking the trouble to fill in the details of his documentary.
